We discovered GradeMiners writing service by accident. As we were reviewing customer feedback on other services, we noticed several GradeMiners reviews on some of those sites. We assumed it was a relatively new writing company, and that was confirmed by the 2016 copyright on its site. While we normally do not write reviews on companies this new, there were some customer comments that lead us to do it anyway. We have used the same factors of evaluation that we do for all sites we review – the quality of written content on the site, GradeMiners testimonials, our experience in obtaining and reviewing a university-level research paper, and GradeMiners.com reviews that we found in other places on the web. We also conducted research into the reputation of this company through well-known consumer protection websites. We did not find information on any legal issues or breaches. The following report comprises a summary of our review and analysis of this writing service. Keep reading to learn if this is a reliable, writing service provider?
Quality of Products and Services
We determine quality by reading through the website content, by reviewing any samples or blog posts on the site, by any Essay Miners review we find from customers, and from the results of the research paper we obtained. Further, we contact the customer support department by telephone, on a few occasions, and hold conversations with representatives, during which we ask detailed questions.
Unfortunately, the website content is not reflective of excellent English grammar and composition. Both the main site content and the footer pages have some serious grammatical issues and incorrect word usage. And, because we cannot find any physical address for the company, we do not know where it is located or who is writing the content for the site.
As we explored the site, we noted that they offer academic writing, resume and CV work and copywriting. The academic writing offered was very standard. Essays, research papers, and admissions documents are listed among other things.
Customer testimonials on the site are certainly praiseworthy. In other places on the web, though, not so much. There are customer complaints about product quality and access to the customer support department in order to get issues resolved.
The paper we received also had lots of compositional errors – incorrect word usage, sentence structure problems, and errors in verb tenses. When we requested revisions to the product, they were eventually completed by our writer, but communication with that writer was very sparse.
Worries about a Grade Miners scam are unfounded. Customers will get their ordered products, and customers say that deadlines have been met.
Writers and Support
The company states that all of its writers have Master’s or Ph.D. degrees from English-speaking colleges and universities. There is no information on the site to back this up, so we have to take the company’s word for it. Unfortunately, given the grammatical issues of the written products, we have to question whether these writers really received graduate degrees from such universities. There does not appear to be any way to verify whether writers or editors here can be trusted to be forthcoming about their credentials.
Communication with customer support is also a part of this GradeMiners.com review. It is important that customers can get in touch with representatives from the company when they have questions or problems. We attempted to telephone the toll-free number several times at different hours and were always placed on hold. No one ever answered our phone calls. We then asked questions through the live chat feature. It was difficult to get detailed answers about a dissertation, and we were finally told to just place an order and let them try to find a writer and then we could ask for a refund if they did not get it finished in time.
Prices
We found that GradeMiners.com prices are about average by industry standards. They begin at $11.30 a page for a high school essay with a 20-day deadline and graduate to $45.00 per page for a Ph.D. work with a more urgent deadline requirement.
The price of the paper we obtained was $159.60, but with a new customer discount, it came to $135.66.
There are a number of additional fees that will apply for options – selecting a premier writer or a writer that you have used before will add 15% to the order; additional fees for premier service also will apply. For example, a plagiarism report costs $14.99, something that any service could provide free of cost, given that the software is so cheap.
Payment methods here are standard. They appear to be secured via SSL, a standard in online commerce. We believe that students are generally safe placing an order.
Additional Features and Discounts
New customers are given a GradeMiners discount of 15% and there is a GradeMiners promo code to be entered into the order form. Beyond that, we were unable to find GradeMiners.com coupon codes for any other discounts. The company does have a bonus program, and a percentage amount of each order is placed in a bonus account – the amount can be used to offset costs for future orders.
Beyond the discount and bonus program, we were unable to find any other typical features such as free pages. Customer can request revisions up to two weeks after product delivery.
We did take some time to read the policy documents. There is a privacy policy that is published to the site. This document outlines how customer data is used. Customers may make inquiries or complaints about their personal data. The policy does not state that they may have their data removed. There is also no mention of GDPR compliance.
Overall, Grade Miners has a ways to go to meet the standards that other professional services do. They need to improve the quality of writing and writers; they need to improve their customer support. Generally, our Grade Miners ratings in all categories are only “Fair.”
